TECHNICAL SUPPORT (FLEXIBLE PACKAGING)

Location: Homebased, 1-2 days/week in office + customer visits

Salary: £50K + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension

The Company:
Leading manufacturer of high-quality printed Flexible Packaging.

The Role:
Provide technical support to deliver innovation, sustainability, and cost-effective packaging solutions. Work closely with technical, R&D, and commercial teams to meet customer needs and drive performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities / Requirements:

• Understand customer needs (sustainability, product development, value engineering) and translate into technical solutions.
• Lead sustainability and total cost of ownership projects.
• Coordinate value engineering initiatives and cost/margin improvements.
• Oversee trials, new business onboarding, and innovation projects.
• Respond to technical issues and support customer relationships.
• Participate in account meetings and support commercial teams with presentations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and reporting procedures.
• Support training and development initiatives.
• Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Knowledge of polymers, plastics, and flexible packaging.
• Project management skills and industrial/commercial experience (3+ years).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Customer-focused, resilient, and able to manage multiple projects.
