Our Client is a leading multi-site UK label manufacturer, renowned for innovation, quality, and service across diverse market sectors. With a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer partnership, the business continues to expand its capabilities, including the installation of a high volume Digicon line, creating new capacity and growth opportunities.

Seeking a driven and commercially focused Strategic Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of key customer accounts while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities. This pivotal position requires a blend of account development, project management, and strategic sales planning.

Working from their Derbyshire site, you will play a critical role in strengthening customer relationships, maximising account performance, and filling newly available production capacity with profitable work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of established customer accounts across multiple sectors, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnerships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, supporting customers with technical enquiries, project updates, and ongoing commercial needs.
  • Proactively source and secure new business to support the company's growth strategy, with a particular focus on utilising additional capacity on a brand new Digicon machine.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments, including production, planning, artwork, and operations, to ensure the smooth delivery of customer projects.
  • Prepare quotations, costings, and tender responses in line with company pricing structures.
  • Conduct occasional customer site visits, presentations, and project reviews to strengthen relationships and win new business.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and produce regular sales forecasts and performance reports.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or commercial roles within the print, labels, or packaging sectors (highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of production processes, ideally within labels, digital print, flexo, or related industries.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with a strong focus on new business development.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and customer expectations simultaneously.
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and pricing skills.
  • Confident working with internal teams to ensure high-quality customer delivery.
  • Full UK driving licence.
