SLITTING / CONVERTING TEAM MACHINE OPERATOR

WEST YORKSHIRE

SALARY: DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE + ½ OVERTIME + PENSION

Alternating Shifts:
Monday - Thursday 6:30am -2:00pm and Friday 6:30am -12:30pm
Monday - Thursday 2:00pm -9:45pm and Friday 12:30pm - 5:30pm

Our client offers a complete printing and packaging service as a one stop shop for a variety of markets. They are now looking to recruit a Slitting / Converting Team Machine Operator to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Converting large widths of film to bespoke widths driven by customer demand.
• Set/operate machinery (knives/tensions/speeds).
• Comply with QC regulations and adhere to ISO/BRC regulations.
• Load machinery with raw material and off load finished product.
• Monitor running machinery and maintain machinery.
• Inspect raw/finished product for defects and report accordingly.
• Ensure machines are running to required speed (maximum throughputs).
• Monitor waste (work efficiently).
• General housekeeping.

• Flexible, as the role requires being able to operate in 2 departments.
• Maintain a high working standard.
• Comply to company policies/procedures.
• Work well under pressure.
• React to any sudden demand/change in schedule.
