Our client is a highly established and respected flexible packaging specialist, entering an exciting phase of growth in 2026! With a strong track record of consistent expansion and long-standing customer partnerships, the business has built a reputation for being collaborative, agile and solutions-driven.
They work with leading brands across the FMCG, Food, Pet Care, and Home & Lifestyle sectors, supplying flexible packaging solutions, including: BOPP & PP/PE recyclable bags, stand-up pouches, flat bottom and quad seal bags, plus heavy-duty bags and sacks.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join their commercial team.
This role offers a 50/50 split between account management and new business development. The company is based in the North West, with office attendance required once or twice per month, making this a flexible, hybrid opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Identify, target and secure new business opportunities
- Take full ownership of customer relationships and daily account activity
- Liaise closely with UK-based customers and international manufacturing partners across Europe and Asia
- Proactively prospect new markets and respond to inbound sales enquiries
- Conduct regular customer visits to maintain relationships and develop new opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the internal sales administration team to ensure smooth order processing through to delivery
- Representing the business at relevant trade exhibitions and industry events
- Proven experience within the flexible packaging sector (preferred)
- Highly self-motivated, organised and capable of managing their own diary and workload
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Good IT literacy, including experience using CRM systems
