REWINDER / PRINT FINISHER

Hourly rate dependent on experience + Other Benefits

Shift: 37.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, rotating weekly

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Finishing Supervisor. To set up and rewind the printed master rolls into customer specified finished reels, monitoring the quality to an agreed standard using the AVT camera inspection equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor and maintain rewinding equipment to job specifications
• Handle rolls of labels as they come off the rewinder, pack into boxes and stack
• Strict adherence to production procedures and SOP's
• Equipment general maintenance, maintaining high levels of cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures and SOP's whilst performing job tasks
• Check label quality and resolve and report any issues using the 'material defect report'
• Quarantine defective material and communicate to the team via the Team Leader
• Operate and clean the core cutting machine, as required
• To run Wrapeel (Rewind 1) when required
• To run Domino numbering machine when required
• To run folding machine / Braille maker when required

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures is essential
• Maintain high standards of production housekeeping
• Computer literacy skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in order to deliver orders on time in full (OTIF)
• Flexible and adaptability to evolving business needs
