PRODUCTION OPERATIVE X2 - (Print / Fabrication)

£Open (Depending on Experience) + £Open (Depending on Experience) + Overtime is paid at time and a half (Double time for bank holidays) + 25 Days Holiday, inclusive of Xmas shutdown (usually around 3days)

Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday

OR

Shift Pattern: 34 hours per week: Friday (5hrs), Saturday (12hrs), Sunday (12hrs), Monday (5hrs)

Our client is a wide format print service provider specialising in larger projects and dye sublimated textiles. They print onto almost any substrate including rigid medias. Combined with a full project management team their turnkey approach makes us one of the leaders in their field.
They are looking for production operatives in their busy Print, Dye Sublimation and Fabrication departments are working with many different types of media to time critical deadlines.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Operating large format Printers (Swiss Q and Durst) to produce quality products
  • Understanding every job and ensure all materials are correct and present
  • Undertaking routine maintenance and housekeeping on the machines
  • Preparing products for Fabrication including measuring, templating and accurately hand trimming products to plan.
  • Welding and Eyeleting products as required.
  • Ensuring the printed products are of a high quality by undertaking thorough inspections and reporting defects to management.
  • Prioritising work based on the defined schedule and liaising with team members to ensure products are completed and ready to be passed to the Fabrication team on time and to specification.
  • Responsibility for general cleanliness of the presses and the surrounding area as a part of the daily routine
  • Complying with all Health & Safety policies and procedures always adopted by the company.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experienced in working with large format UV printers (Roll to Roll, Flatbed and Hybrid), Dye Sublimation and Fabrication Machine
  • Fork Lift Truck (Counterbalance) Licence
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Good attention to detail and an exceptional accuracy is required.
  • High level of organisation is essential.
  • Integration with MIS system/Basic IT Skills
  • Must be a good team player with great communication skills.
  • Flexible approach and ability to do overtime where required.
  • Excellent time keeping.
