PRINTING PRESS OPERATIVE

Salary up to £29K + Bonus/Benefits

Evening Shift (4 day week) 16:00-02:00 Mon-Weds, 15:30-01:00 Thurs
(+ Weekly Over-time opportunities @ 1.33 rate Fridays, 1.5 rate Saturdays, 2.0 rate Sundays & B/Hols)

Our Client is an independently owned Label Manufacturer providing plain & printed labels, tickets and tags to a variety of market sectors.
They are currently looking for a Printing Press Operator to run U.V and water-based flexographic printing presses. Working to all safety and quality requirements, help and support to achieve daily production requirements in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations and requirements whilst optimising efficiency. Able to work on many areas of production with a level of supervision.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Set and operate label, tag, wristband production equipment
• Monitor the production process and carry out quality checks
• Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machines
• To provide support to Team Leader and the Production Manager

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of operating printing machinery (flexographic, and lithographic)
• Good communication and computer skills
• A flexible approach to working
• An eye for detail
• Ability to use own initiative, but also be able to work as part of a team
• Positive attitude towards new challenges
• Ability to learn new skills
• Desire to work in the printing industry
