PRINT MANAGER - LARGE FORMAT, SIGNS AND DISPLAY

Our client is a leading and Award-Winning Large format, Exhibitions, Display & Graphics Company based in the North West that has been established over 20 years. They are currently looking to recruit a Print Manager.
The Print Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow within the print department. This hands-on role involves operating print machinery, supervising the print team, including the apprentice and ensuring all processes and procedures are adhered to for the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Management
- Organise and oversee the daily workflow within the print department to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Coordinate print jobs, prioritise tasks, and allocate resources to maximise productivity
- Operations & Planning
- Own daily / weekly scheduling for finishing, balancing priorities from print through to dispatch
- Track WIP and deadlines; ensure SLA adherence and efficient changeovers
- Maintain accurate job tickets, QC records, and materials tracking
Print Machine Operation
- Operate large format print machines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality output
Team Supervision
- Manage and mentor the print department team, with direct responsibility for the apprentice.
- Support training and development to build skills and maintain a positive, productive working environment
Process & Procedure Compliance
- Ensure all operating procedures and processes are followed consistently
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience operating large format print machinery (or similar print production equipment)
- Strong organisational and workflow management skills
- Ability to lead, supervise, and mentor junior team members or apprentices
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Understanding of health and safety and process compliance in a production environment
Stock
- Work closely with Procurement Manager to ensure all consumables and materials are kept to minimum levels and ordered when needed.
