PRINT FINISHING ASSISTANT

Up to £13.50 Per Hour DOE + Overtime + 23 days + Bank Holidays + Birthday Off Paid + Pension

Hours: Double Day Shift Pattern: Mornings (6am-1.30pm) & Afternoon (1.15pm-9pm Mon-Thu, 1.15pm-7.45pm on a Friday).

Our client is a print, packaging and fulfilment business that offers end‐to‐end services with a strong focus on sustainability. They provide high‐volume printing (e.g. long‐run brochures, etc.), packaging design and manufacture, data-driven direct mail and fulfilment, as well as creative design and Web2Print solutions so clients can order and manage stock remotely.

They are looking to grow their Print Finishing team; working within the Finishing Department you will support the Print Finisher at the end of their machine (Folder, Guillotine etc), or on the pick and pack benches hand finishing and packing printed products, labelling boxes ensuring that a quality end product is presented to the Despatch department, within time frames expected.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• To take printed work and perform various finishing operations to include cut to size, laminate, glue, hand finish and pack jobs ready for delivery.
• To labour at the end of finishing machinery and assist with warehousing duties.

Essential Skills

• Excellent verbal (English speaking) skills.
• Previous experience within a Print Finishing/warehouse packing role.
• Methodical.
• Attention to detail.
• Flexible attitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills.Willingness to train on other Finishing machinery.
• To be able to meet set productivity output rates
