METAL FABRICATOR (TIG & MIG) - SIGNS
LEICESTERSHIRE
Up to £18.00 per hour (dependent on experience - 5+ years for top end) + Overtime: Weekdays: Time and a quarter (1.25x) / Weekends: Time and a half (1.5x) + Pension
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.30pm
Our client is a professional trade only sign manufacturer in the East Midlands, specialising in internal and external signs, with in house facility to manage project from start to finish.
They are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join their growing production team. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled fabricator with strong MIG welding experience (with TIG welding also required), who is confident working from technical drawings and operating a CNC Press Brake.
You will play a key role in the manufacture of high-quality fabricated metal components, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding (predominantly) and TIG welding of mild steel and other materials as required
- Operating and setting CNC Press Brake machinery
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Fabricating components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Carrying out quality checks and basic inspections of finished parts
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Working collaboratively with other departments to meet production deadlines
- Reporting any faults, defects, or issues to supervision promptly
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a metal fabrication role
- Strong MIG welding skills (essential)
- TIG welding experience (required)
- Proven experience operating CNC Press Brake machines
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Good understanding of fabrication processes and techniques
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
