INJECTION MOULD TOOL SETTER
NORTHERN HOME COUNTIES (NORTH OF LONDON)
£35-45K DOE + Benefits + 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Injection Mould Tool Setter to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business specialising in injection moulding for the medical, plastic packaging, and consumer goods sectors. This role is ideal for a skilled Setter with strong technical knowledge who takes pride in producing high-quality mouldings in regulated and high-volume environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, run, and optimise injection moulding tools to meet production and quality requirements.
- Carry out tool changes, machine start-ups, and process optimisation.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently, safely, and to required standards.
- Monitor product quality and adjust machine parameters as needed.
- Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting of tooling and moulding issues.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain consistent output.
- Carry out routine tool and machine checks and basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate process documentation and records.
- Ensure housekeeping and H&S standards are maintained at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Injection Mould Tool Setter within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling, and plastics materials
- Experience setting tools from start-up through to stable production.
- Ability to read and follow technical process sheets and engineering drawings.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a quality-focused mindset.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working within medical, plastic packaging, or consumer goods environments.
- Knowledge of scientific moulding or process optimisation techniques.
- Experience with multi-cavity and high-volume production tools.
- Familiarity with ISO or regulated manufacturing standards.
