HEIDELBERG PRINT FINISHING OPERATOR (TRAINEE OR EXPERIENCED)
WEST YORKSHIRE
£Generous hourly rate DOE (available upon request!) + 20 days holiday + bank holidays (accruing additional days with service, up to 5 extra days)
Hours: 36-hour week, alternating double-day shifts
- Early Shift: 06:30 - 14:00 (Mon-Thurs), 06:30 - 12:30 (Fri)
- Late Shift: 14:00 - 21:45 (Mon-Thurs), 12:30 - 17:30 (Fri)
Our client offers a complete printing and packaging service as a one stop shop for a variety of markets.
They are looking for a skilled Heidelberg Print Finishing Operator to join their production team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in print finishing, embossing, foiling, and die-cutting, who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a B1 Print Finishing Machine efficiently
- Apply emboss and foil impressions to various types of paper and cardboard
- Set up multiple foil positions and die-cut full sheets
- Conduct in-house quality checks, document issues, and archive samples
- Work closely with the production team to optimize machine efficiency and minimize waste
- Monitor consumable stock levels and ensure production schedules are met
- Use Melonex files to align dies precisely
- Adjust machine temperatures and weights to suit bespoke dies and board types
