Hours: 6am-2pm / 1:30pm - 9:30pm (Rotating Shifts)
Our client is a well-established and successful Greeting Cards manufacturer. They are currently looking to recruit a Foiling Operator and a Cut and Crease Operator to join their team.
Foiling Operator: The chosen candidate will set up and operate foiling machinery including the Saroglia, Gietz, and Bobst SP76-BM, always ensuring safe and efficient use.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the production schedule and complete work to company-agreed quality standards, delivering jobs on time while minimising waste.
- Maintain the equipment you operate in line with the planned Maintenance Schedule, completing all relevant records.
- Monitor and reorder foiling consumables via SAP, ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained for smooth production.
- Accurately input and manage data within the SAP system, including production confirmations and purchase order bookings.
- Report any job faults or material issues to the appropriate personnel promptly, supporting a right-first-time approach.
- Follow all relevant Health & Safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reporting any incidents or risks directly to the Shop Floor Manager or Head of Production.
- Support the training and supervision of other team members when experienced or competent in a process.
- Take part in cross-skilling and upskilling initiatives as needed, supporting flexibility and continuous improvement across the team.
- Be open to training on additional machinery or foiling techniques as required to meet business needs.
Cut and Crease Operator: The chosen candidate will set up, operate, and monitor cutting and creasing machinery, including the BOBST SP104-ER, Heidelberg Cylinder, and Polar 115 Guillotine, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate production.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the production schedule and complete work to company-agreed quality standards, delivering jobs on time while minimising waste and spoilage.
- Maintain the machinery you operate in line with the planned Maintenance Schedule, completing all relevant maintenance records.
- Monitor and reorder consumables, including cutting dies and tooling, via SAP to maintain sufficient stock levels for continuous production.
- Accurately record production data in SAP, including job confirmations and purchase orders.
- Report any job faults, material issues, or equipment problems promptly to the appropriate personnel, supporting a right-first-time approach.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reporting any incidents or hazards directly to the Shop Floor Manager or Head of Production.
- Assist with training and supervising team members once competent, sharing your expertise to support team capability.
- Participate in cross-training and upskilling initiatives to increase flexibility and support continuous improvement across the department.
- Be willing to train on additional cutting or creasing equipment as required to meet business needs.
Requirements for Both Roles:
