Continental shift pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (including rotating day and night shifts)

Our client is a market leader with an international customer-base, serving a broad range of consumer sectors. Products include flexo & digital printed self-adhesive & in-mould labels, and sleeves. Ethical and environmental responsibility is at the heart of all global operations. They are now looking for a Flexographic Printer to join their production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will operate and maintain flexographic printing presses, ensuring consistent print quality and efficient production runs.
  • You will play a key part in achieving production targets, reducing waste, and supporting overall process improvement within the print department.
  • Set up and run multi-colour servo-driven flexographic presses to meet production specifications.
  • Monitor press operations and make adjustments to maintain quality, registration, and colour consistency.
  • Maintain inks and solvents per job requirements and substrate types.
  • Carry out routine press maintenance to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Work closely with Supervisors to meet production schedules, minimise downtime, and improve output efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping in line with internal quality procedures and customer requirements.
  • Always follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, safe working environment.
  • Promote teamwork and communication across shifts and departments.
  • Participate in quality control checks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proficient in operating flexographic printing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on print quality
  • Able to identify and resolve machine issues during production
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Clear communicator and team player
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Positive attitude toward process improvement and collaboration

Preferred Experience

  • Proven experience operating flexographic printing presses (narrow web preferred)
  • Familiarity with industry standards and quality systems
  • Experience working to compliance frameworks such as SEDEX or ETI (desirable, not essential)
  • Previous experience in a shift-based manufacturing role
