Our client is a specialist printer based in Cheshire, they are ISO and FSC accredited with an impressive inhouse kit list and they operate in a clean and organised environment. They are currently looking for a Commercial Production Manager to join their team.
The Commercial Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production and account management, with a strong focus on commercial outcomes. This role blends hands-on leadership of the Production Team with direct involvement in converting leads, estimating, and pricing. The Commercial Production Manager ensures operational plans are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, while driving continuous improvement, process optimisation, and commercial growth. Experience with Management Information Systems (MIS) in production, particularly within the print industry, is highly desirable. The role requires strong commercial and financial acumen, proven operational planning skills, and a track record in pricing, contract negotiation, and the implementation of process improvements. Spreadsheet competence is essential, comfortable with using and manipulating data.

- Production & Commercial Leadership: Lead, plan, and monitor the activities of the Production and Account Management teams to achieve production, quality and commercial targets. Oversee estimating, pricing, and contract negotiation to maximise profitability and customer satisfaction.
- MIS & Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise Management Information Systems (MIS) to analyse production and commercial performance data, supporting accurate estimating, resource allocation, and process optimisation.
- Operational Planning & Process Optimisation: Develop and implement operational plans and process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness across production and commercial functions.
- Performance & Resource Management: Manage individual and team performance, fostering accountability and motivation. Plan and control resources to achieve operational and commercial commitments safely and efficiently.
- Cost Control & Financial Management: Operate within budget, manage resources to minimise waste, and recommend cost-saving initiatives. Demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen in all decision-making.
- Customer & Supplier Relationships: Build open, trust-based relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and effective contract negotiation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive improvements in systems, processes, and procedures, leveraging MIS and data analysis to support innovation and operational excellence.
- Compliance & Integrity: Ensure compliance with statutory, corporate, and plant requirements, maintaining high standards of operational integrity and safety.
