BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - PRINTED LABELS

Location: Midlands / South of England / South Wales (Field Based)

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Incentives + Car/Allowance + Benefits

Our client is a well-established, high-quality manufacturer of printed labels, supplying everything from blank and thermal labels to short-run digital and long-run flexo. Their capabilities include peel & read, multi-layer booklet labels, hot & cold foil and embossing, serving a broad range of markets.
They are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to expand the company's customer base and drive growth across the UK. This is a field-based role, ideal for someone with strong industry knowledge and a proactive, results-driven approach.

The Role:
In the first year, your focus will be on developing new business using existing warm leads and industry contacts. The company has set realistic, achievable targets and offers long-term account ownership. As your portfolio grows, you'll take responsibility for managing and developing all accounts you bring in, providing excellent earnings and career progression potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and approach potential customers across a variety of sectors
  • Present the full product portfolio confidently and persuasively
  • Build strong relationships, converting leads into long-term customers
  • Manage your own pipeline, reporting effectively through CRM
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to maximise opportunities
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction

Key Requirements:

  • Previous label sales experience preferred; they will also consider strong candidates from flexo or digital printed packaging sectors
  • Proven track record of B2B sales success and relationship management
  • Self-motivated, organised and confident working independently
  • Ideally based in the Midlands, South of England, or South Wales (other locations considered for exceptional candidates)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
