Our Client is a well invested, profitable and growing business with the traditional values of a family run company with international career development opportunities. In their UK label manufacturing facilities, they manufacture industrial processing, weighing and labelling solutions from food to mechanical automation, from small craft producers to catering to major food groups.

They are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join the team, focusing on driving sales and expanding market presence. This is a field based position with a requirement to attend Head Office approximately 2-3 times per month.

Your task will be to attract new regional industrial equipment accounts. The scope of the role is to spearhead growth in the industrial equipment area and identify the key departmental heads who in turn influence the final decision-making. Your ability to manage high-level relationships is a key element. Business expectations will vary from department to department.

Your Tasks:

  • Developing new business by meeting target numbers of customer visits.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the client base and drive sales growth.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Point of contact for the partnership with distribution channels.
  • Accountability for driving development of relationship with channel partners.
  • Develop and maintain a business plan for a region with the ability to adjust to business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions for clients.
  • Setting up meetings and planning and preparing product demonstrations.
  • Communicating solutions to prospective clients.
  • Preparing quotations, building and maintaining a pipeline.
  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Follow and report on competitor activities and other market intelligence.
  • Feedback Voice of Customer into manufacturing.

As a Business Development Manager, you should have the following skills:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Good at listening.
  • Understand value propositions and being able to articulate the benefits.
  • Problem solving and the ability to evaluate options.
  • Organised, with the ability to self-motivate.
  • They will also consider National Account Managers / Business Development Managers who are currently selling PoS systems, dispensing, automation, refrigeration, labelling systems or any other integrated capital equipment into major multiple retail businesses.
