Our client is based in the West Midlands are specialists in producing cost-effective print, backed up by the latest technology with their B2 presses small, digital presses and two finishing lines.

They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, nurture client relationships, and drive revenue growth for their lithographic and digital printing services.
The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, a proven track record in B2B sales, and the ability to develop and execute growth strategies in a competitive print market.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients in industries such as retail, publishing, manufacturing, and advertising agencies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers to generate repeat business.
  • Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the lithographic and digital printing sector.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, quotations, and tenders tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts and agreements that maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with production, design, and customer service teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within the printing industry and ability to deliver sales immediately.
  • Strong network of industry contacts and knowledge of commercial print buying processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

  • Knowledge of print production processes, paper stocks, and finishing techniques.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for achieving sales targets.
