BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Salary £60-70K DOE + Commission + Car/ Allowance + Auto Enrol Pension + Private Healthcare after qualification period
Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of secure packaging solutions, supplying a broad international customer base across sectors including logistics, chemical, oil & gas, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, banking, security, ICT, hospitality, and manufacturing / industrial.
Due to planned expansion and relocation to larger premises, they are creating a new Business Development Manager role to support long-term growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a pivotal stage and play a key role in its UK expansion.
The Role
- Drive new business acquisition (approx. 85%) across the UK
- Develop and grow an existing customer portfolio (approx. 25%)
- Sell secure tamper evident packaging solutions into multiple sectors
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for value-added solutions, including print systems where applicable
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and CRM records
- Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven Business Development / New Business Sales experience in secure, tamper evident, industrial, or transit packaging including end of line strapping, stretch wrap etc
- Experience selling into regulated or security-focused environments desirable
- Strong hunter mentality with a demonstrable track record of winning new business
- Commercially astute, target-driven, and self-motivated
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Comfortable managing a UK-wide territory
- Full UK driving licence
