Our client is a leading well respected Flexible Packaging manufacturer supplying plain and flexo printed film and laminates into the food and none food markets.

They are looking to recruit a Business Development / Key Account Manager. The chosen candidate will have experience selling into the food industry. You will oversee and develop major customer relationships. The role will focus on increasing market share, profitability and strengthening strategic partnerships. You will coordinate and support a cross-functional account team, ensuring all objectives within the agreed account plan are delivered.

This role will be a split of finding new business as well as managing existing accounts

Key Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing an existing client base, growing these accounts yearly
  • A proven background selling flexo printed laminates / flexible packaging
  • Generating new business by using own initiative
  • Self-motivated individual who is also able to work well as part of a team
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Develop and manage effective cross-functional relationships with customer sites and internal teams to achieve sales goals and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Act as the main contact between the business and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment, agreement and successful business planning.
  • Lead or support tender processes and contract renewals at both local and European levels.
  • Manage commercial and contractual negotiations in collaboration with internal leadership.
  • Establish annual sales forecasts, including volumes and pricing, across relevant countries and sites.
  • Analyse sales performance, margins, customer share and OMP implementation, coordinating with key internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all communication and reporting processes are followed, promoting the consistent use of business information systems for accurate decision-making.
