ACCOUNT MANAGER -FOOD & DRINK PACKAGING
NORTH WEST ENGLAND
Salary £55K + Dependent on Experience + Annual Bonus up to 20% + Company Car/ Allowance + Pension + Attractive Benefits Package
Our client is a market leading global packaging group, currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to join the team with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week.
The Role:
- Manage a portfolio of around 5 large, multi-million-pound accounts within the food and drinks packaging sector.
- Take full ownership of account performance, driving achievement of sales volume and profitability targets.
- Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining long-term partnerships aligned with their values.
- Adopt a project management-focused approach, coordinating across legal, finance, operations, supply chain, and NPD teams to deliver complex projects dealing with multi-level customer stakeholders.
- Understand customer motives, priorities, and market challenges, ensuring commercial opportunities are maximised.
- Ensure contracts, compliance, and governance frameworks are followed to safeguard long-term account success.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in Account Sales Management, with a strong record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Direct experience managing multi-million-pound accounts in food or drinks packaging environments.
- Strong commercial acumen, planning ability, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Highly motivated, driven, and collaborative, with a customer-centric focus.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel nationally with occasional international travel required.
