NEW TRAINEE OPPORTUNITY! (SC3711)

TRAINEE LARGE FORMAT / SUPERWIDE PRINT OPERATOR

NORTHANTS

Salary dependent on experience + 20 days' holiday + 8 bank holidays + an additional birthday day + statutory pension + ongoing training and personal development

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Standard hours are 9:00am-5:30pm, with flexible start and finish times available, for example 7:30am-4:00pm.

We're working with a successful, growing large format print company in Northants that's looking for a driven person who's ready to start a career in print production.
You don't need previous print experience. The company will provide training to help you learn how to set up and operate high-end Vutek superwide printers, including 5 metre and 3.2 metre machines. You'll be joining a well-invested, modern production environment, with the chance to build valuable skills and develop your career for the long term.

What you'll learn to do

  • Prepare print jobs and materials for production
  • Set up and operate large format and superwide printers
  • Load and prepare different substrates and media
  • Check print quality and learn how to make adjustments
  • Monitor machines and resolve basic operational issues
  • Work to production schedules and deadlines
  • Carry out routine machine care and keep your work area tidy
  • Follow quality, health and safety procedures
  • Work with the wider production team to get jobs completed efficiently

We're looking for someone who

  • Is motivated to learn and build a career in print
  • Takes pride in doing careful, high-quality work
  • Is reliable, proactive and positive
  • Can stay organised and work to deadlines
  • Communicates well and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is comfortable working in a hands-on production environment

Any experience in print, manufacturing or production would be useful, but it isn't essential. An interest in technology, machinery or how things are made would also be a plus.

This is a great opportunity to join a modern, well-invested company that will support your training and development, with long-term potential for someone keen to grow with the business.
