£Open depending on Experience + Commission + Car or Car Allowance + Pension

Our client is a long established, innovative and successful privately owned thermoforming company based in the Northwest. With a long history of developing and manufacturing bespoke thermoformed packaging into the food, retail, pharmaceutical and industry sectors in the UK and worldwide.

Due to growth and investment within the business they now require an additional Thermoforming Business Development Manager to focus on generating new sales growth in the Thermoforming packaging sector. You will be given the freedom to use your own sales initiative with the support of the internal sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing targets to increase sales.
  • Arranging meetings with potential new clients to prospect for new business.
  • Ability to project manage.
  • Producing and presenting tailored quotes and proposals and negotiating on price and specifications with clients.
  • Retaining existing customer accounts as well as re- activate lapsed accounts to generate business growth.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions.
  • Developing relationships with customers.
  • Liaising with relevant internal departments within the organisation to achieve targets.
  • Where required, travelling to appointments across the UK as required.
  • Meeting customers face to face and via Teams / Zoom.

Requirements

  • Recent proven experience in new business development or a customer focused position within the packaging industry.
  • Midlands to Southern based location preferred.
  • Experience of the thermoforming industry preferred but not essential.
  • Experience and knowledge of the packaging sector required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills both written & verbal.
  • A successful record at developing new packaging from brief to delivery.
  • Proven history on developing and negotiating large value contracts.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated to achieve results.
