TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER - CORRUGATED PACKAGING
COMMUTABLE FROM BUCKINGHAMSHIRE / NORTHANTS / BEDFORDSHIRE
£Competitive Salary (Depending on Expereince) + 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Group Life Insurance + Company Pension + Annual Profit Sharing Scheme (10% of profits shared with employees)
Our client is one of the UK's leading independent sheet plant who specialises in the design and manufacturer of Corrugated Packaging, the company is well established yet growing rapidly currently employing approx. 100 people and is also well invested with further capital projects underway. They are committed to delivering high-quality packaging solutions that contribute to sustainability and combat single-use plastics.
They are currently looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for managing a team of up to six people and will be expected to initially review the current working practices within the team, and then implement short and long term goals which will allow the business to improve on its commercial efficiencies whilst also growing our sales portfolio. They are looking for a Leader who is customer focused, self-driven and can demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the following areas:
- Commercial
- Innovative Design
- Customer Budgets / Activity
- Pre-sales Customer Interaction
Our client is open to considering candidates with experience from any area of the packaging industry, not just corrugated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of up to 6 technical sales professionals
- Develop and implement commercial pricing strategies across sectors
- Drive innovation in packaging solutions and customer engagement
- Manage customer budgets, activities, and pre-sales interaction
- Streamline internal processes to improve efficiency and increase sales
- Work closely with senior leadership to align sales goals with business strategy
Requirements:
- Ideally a degree (2:1 or higher) in a relevant field
- Proven experience in commercial sales or technical account management.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is key
- A passion for innovation and sustainable product development
- Strong organisational and financial skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation abilities
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to build lasting relationships
