SOUTHERN FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - HOMEBASED

They are looking to recruit a flexible and team-oriented Field Service Engineer to support their customers across the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a Southern territory, maintaining all systems through an organised visit schedule and proactive callouts
- Promote the full range of products and solutions within the territory
- Coordinate and deliver a regional preventative maintenance programme for all systems
- Plan and manage time effectively across the region to achieve business objectives
- Demonstrate correct system usage and advise customers on preventative maintenance best practices
- Project-manage the delivery and implementation of ergonomic or workflow-improving solutions
- Represent the business professionally at all times
- Provide product demonstrations, training, and application support to customers and colleagues
- Conduct Risk Assessments and produce Method Statements for customer installations
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, system movements, and ensure timely submission to the office
- Carry out all tasks in alignment with business priorities and operational requirements
- Test and commission systems prior to installation
- Manage stock levels of machines and spare parts, ensuring adequate inventory is maintained on the vehicle
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a field-based engineering role
- Ideally qualified to HNC/HND level in electrical engineering or equivalent, or apprentice trained
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems (including single and three-phase)
- Able to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and analyse and resolve technical issues
- Capable of handling all customer interactions with discretion, professionalism, and sensitivity to individual needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Willing to travel within the UK and occasionally within Europe, including some overnight stays
