SENIOR PROCESS TECHNICIAN - INJECTION MOULDING

CENTRAL IRLEAND

€48,000 - €54,000 + Pension after qualifying period

Hours of work: Day Shift

Reporting to the Plant Production Manager, the Senior Process Technician is responsible for machine set-up, ongoing maintenance, and operation of the Injection Moulding production line. Technicians are responsible for ensuring the machines produce high quality products, run smoothly at capacity, and are properly maintained. A strong mechanical and/or electrical background is desirable, as is prior experience working in a manufacturing setting. This is a day shift-based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day machine set-up, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the injection moulding production line.
  • Perform mould and Machine cleaning and cleaning of machines, robots and ancillary equipment.
  • Responsible for process optimisation and executing continuous improvement programmes.
  • Production of finished goods, compliant with SOP's and Customer requirements.
  • Access and adhere to quality specifications and special instructions on orders.
  • Perform quality checks and collect quality data as required.
  • Complete documentation associated with the quality and regulatory environment in which the business operates.
  • Material handling of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Housekeeping of work area.
  • Perform other production related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Technical qualification in Manufacturing or Mechanical / Automation Engineering or Equivalent time served experience, with excellent working knowledge of machine setting, controls, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience should come with a record of CPD (Continual Professional Development).
  • Five Plus years' Experience working in a similar manufacturing setting e.g., BRC / Hygiene Production Environment.
  • Knowledge of machine operation and a team production concept.
  • Organised and experienced with line clearance and Health & Safety Protocols.
  • Must be able to work individually with minimum supervision, but also as part of a broader manufacturing team.
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma would be an advantage.
