Our client is a progressive, fast moving UK business providing managed procurement and sourcing solutions for workplace essentials: stationery, branded merchandise, workwear, labels, furniture and more.
Taking ownership of the sales numbers and sales health scores, leading a team of six to deliver consistent performance. You'll continually improve and embed the sales process across both brands, driving sustainable growth and maximising gross profit.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving performance through clear KPIs, accountability and continuous development. You'll monitor and measure results, ensure initiatives become embedded into the way they work, and coach the sales team to consistently improve.
Proactively building relationships with ICPs and high value prospects across both brands, creating opportunities for the sales team to convert. The Sales Manager opens doors, makes strategic introductions and strengthens key relationships, whilst the Sales Representative takes ownership of managing and closing the opportunity (the role will be split approx. 75% management and 25% sales).
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the sales numbers and health scores for the company
- Set clear KPIs for the team and hold each team member accountable to them
- Monitor and measure performance through regular 1:1s and team meetings
- Continually improve and embed the sales process (qualification, pipeline stages, and deal progression standards) across both brands.
- Ensure initiatives (e.g. time blocking/productivity tracking, distraction free blocks, qualification playbooks) become embedded into the way the team works, not just adopted at rollout.
- Maximise gross profit (GP) across the team's sales, driving sustainable growth rather than top line revenue alone.
- Coach and develop each team member, identifying skill gaps and building development plans.
- Proactively build relationships with ICPs and high value prospects across the company
- Make strategic introductions, creating opportunities for the sales team to convert.
- Strengthen key relationships across both brands.
- Hand ownership of managing and closing each opportunity to the relevant sales representative.
Operational Ownership
- Report weekly on sales performance ahead of Monday review meetings.
- Ensure CRM / pipeline data is accurate and current across the team.
- Work with the Director on initiatives, campaigns, and process changes; take ownership of execution once agreed.
Essential
- Proven track record in B2B sales.
- Experience managing or mentoring a sales team
- Organised, process driven, comfortable using CRM and reporting tools
- Strong communicator, able to give direct feedback and hold people accountable with warmth
Desirable
- Experience introducing and embedding new sales processes/tools with a team
- What Success Looks Like (first 6-12 months)
- Team consistently hitting or exceeding target.
- Both health scores trending upward and stable.
- Sales process (qualification, time blocking, CRM hygiene) embedded as habit, not novelty.
- Visible development in each team member's skills and confidence.
