Sales Development Representative (Lead Generation) HERTFORDSHIRE

Our client is a leading provider of bespoke signage solutions, serving a wide range of sectors including retail, hospitality, leisure, and corporate environments. Based in Hertfordshire, they pride themselves on quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service.

Job Overview

They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join the dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, booking appointments for the external sales team, and nurturing client relationships over the phone. Target customers should fall in line with Technical Sales business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build compelling service and product stories to attract new customers.
  • Identify potential objection criteria and solutions
  • Research potential client accounts from industry databases and news sources.
  • Establish lead contacts from LinkedIn and other lead intelligence sources such as Rocket Reach
  • Compile target lists and agree targets / approach with manager
  • Identify and qualify new business leads via phone, email, and CRM systems.
  • Make outbound calls to potential business clients to introduce Technical Signs' services.
  • Book appointments for the sales / project team with decision-makers.
  • Maintain and update client records and call activity in the CRM system.
  • Follow up on leads generated from marketing campaigns and events.
  • *Build strong relationships with prospective customers to understand their signage needs.
  • Handover effectively to sales or project management at the enquiry stage, depending on client and enquiry type.
  • Meet and exceed agreed telesales targets and KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a telesales, telemarketing, or outbound calling role (B2B preferred).
  • Confident communicator with excellent telephone manner.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to understand technical products and communicate their benefits effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the signage or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with the UK signage market and key decision-makers.
