SALARY GUIDE £30K-£35K (Depending on Experience)

Our client is a well-established, retail packaging business based in West Yorkshire. They are currently looking for a driven Sales Account Manager with a strong background in product development to play a key role in driving the next generation of innovation across the UK and international markets. They have an opportunity for a proactive, curious and detail-oriented candidate who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering real value to client.

The role is to work with a portfolio of existing customers, developing and upselling within these accounts in the UK, Europe and America

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular face-to-face and virtual meetings
  • Act as a critical liaison between clients and internal teams, including design, production, and supply chain
  • Translate client requirements into clear, actionable product development briefs
  • Stay informed on industry innovations especially in materials, print and sustainability
  • Prepare bespoke quotes, proposals and visually engaging presentations
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to support strategic positioning
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and on-time delivery across projects
  • Support sustainability initiatives and maintain relevant certifications (ISO, FSC)
  • Conduct occasional factory visits and audits internationally

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales, product development or a similar client-facing commercial role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts clearly
  • Experience managing multiple projects through agile product lifecycle processes
  • Excellent IT literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook) and great attention to detail
  • Minimum GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade A-C or equivalent)
  • A consultative, relationship-first approach with the ability able to build trust and solutions
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
