Rotating Shifts - Monday To Friday - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am
Our client is a leading independent manufacturer of high-quality labels and flexible packaging, providing bespoke print solutions to customers across a wide range of industries. Their diverse customer base includes Home & Personal Care, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical, Beauty & Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, Automotive & Lubricants, Horticulture, and the Pet & Veterinary sectors.
Do you have experience in print finishing or converting, such as quality inspection, slitting, rewinding, laminating, binding, folding, stitching or guillotining? The company is particularly interested in candidates with experience gained within the Labels, Flexible Packaging or Commercial Print industries.
Working as part of the production team, you'll be responsible for converting printed master reels into finished products that meet customer specifications. Duties include slitting, rewinding, counting and inspecting printed labels and reels, ensuring all finished work meets the highest quality standards before despatch.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ability to read and follow work order specifications
- Setup and operation of Rewind Inspection Machines using hand tools
- Manual Handling ability - Loading and unloading of printed material rolls and movement of materials around the factory
- Setting and monitoring of machines while running to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
- Verify size and alignment of rewind rolls; Inspect for quality and consistency of product while machine is operating and adjust as necessary
- Identifying and removing all non-conforming products, set up and in-process waste
- Label all finished products and package all products in appropriate boxes
- After Training - Operate fully 100% inspection unit/AVT System when rewinding product
- Share with other operator's inspection details with regards to historical jobs when required
- After Training - Record Keeping - Responsibly add operator comments to MIS system
- Responsibility for keeping a clean and organised working environment
- Overtime may be occasionally required in order to meet deadlines
