Our client is a sign & graphics company based in the Greater London area, they are currently seeking a Project Manager who is from the large format print property sector (hoardings etc.) You will be responsible for the planning, execution and project management of clients' work from brief to delivery/installation. Not only will you be the 'eyes and ears' of the client throughout the workflow but responsible to instruct each department clearly of the client's requirements from initial brief and planning through to shipment, ensuring projects are executed in line with the client's expectations, on time, complete and ready for invoicing.

You will liaise internally and externally across different departments and external suppliers,
whilst managing the flow of information to ensure timely and efficient delivery / install for their customers, to their exact requirements, maximising margin and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and manage the planning, production and execution of complex, including bespoke and/or high volume production projects. Briefs received directly from clients and from Sales Team, Senior Project Managers and Key Account Managers.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for orders and projects and communicate directly with both internal and external clients.
  • Work with Sales Team and with clients directly on upcoming orders, understanding requirements and offering solutions and specifications. Upselling where possible and agreeing any additional costs as they occur.
  • Have an awareness of / use a refined project log for tracking project status.
  • Actively maximise margin at every stage of the workflow, ensuring that the best, most efficient production methods and substrates are used whilst meeting or exceeding client requirements.
  • Liaise with all internal departments and external suppliers to ensure effective, efficient and quality delivery of projects to the clients according to their requirements and agreed final brief.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maximise opportunities.
  • Follow-up on additions to projects, ensuring all costs are captured and approved.
  • Maintain knowledge of what stage the client's work is at throughout the process and escalate any issues internally as required in order to ensure clients' requirements are met.
  • Be involved with pre and post production meetings.
  • Ensure processes are followed and all work is input on the systems as required.
  • Track costs against the agreed quote throughout the production process.
  • Work as part of a team and support training and knowledge growth initiatives.
  • Responsible for on-site management, where required, supporting client project implementation.
  • Awareness of site Health & Safety requirements and RAMS.
  • Ensure any contractual obligations, KPIs or SLAs are met or exceeded.
  • Build and maintain good professional working relationships with client.
  • Adhere to all processes, policies and procedures.
  • Keep the Team Leader updated in a timely manner on projects, clients, issues or risks.
  • Monitor and help to resolve issues during the production process from brief to delivery/install quickly and efficiently, in coordination with the Production Managers ensuring timely feedback and efficient resolution.
  • Support other members of the team and department
  • Continue to improve knowledge of the client, products, technology and improve commercial overview.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Print production / customer service experience essential.
  • A good knowledge of the Digital Print market.
  • A good understanding of the company operational workflow and technology
  • Ability to support team members.
  • Good organisation skills in pressurised environments with the ability to escalate when appropriate.
  • Ability to manage large and / or complex bespoke projects.
  • Ability to multi-task and utilise resources to execute tasks within a deadline-oriented environment with tight timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and a record of maintaining high quality standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated with a high level of initiative; inspires confidence to work independently and in support of department goals and business objectives.
  • Ability to build good, professional relationships.
  • Customer friendly and customer focused.
  • Strong computer skills, with a willingness to carry out administrative duties and more complex challenges.
  • Works well in a team and has a desire to learn and show initiative.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude.
  • A full UK driving licence
