PRINT & SIGNAGE PRODUCTION ALLROUNDER

GREATER MANCHESTER / LANCASHIRE

Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience + Pension + Benefits Scheme

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Our client is a North West based large format print and signage company, they offer a range of products within a variety of sectors including retail, leisure, events, sporting events & exhibitions.

They are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-orientated individual to join their production team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the print and signage industry, have a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vinyl work including cutting, weeding, and applying vinyl to various substrates with precision.
• Operate Mimaki printers, laminators and plotter.
• Assist in the production of general signage, which may include operating 3m flatbed printers and CNC machines, assembling components, and following design specifications.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all signage meets required standards for accuracy and consistency.
• Use the print management system to ensure all data and inventory is correct.
• Operate the sewing machine for basic sewing tasks and gel edge graphics.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop, including cleaning equipment, organising supplies, and disposing of waste materials appropriately.
• Pack completed jobs, ensuring they are protected for transportation and that all required documentation is included on packaging.
• Occasionally participate in installations of signage products, adhering to safety procedures.
• Carry out deliveries of completed signage to clients when required, ensuring items are transported safely.
• Provide support to other production team members as needed to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the printing and signage industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends.
• Knowledge of vinyl application and installation.
• Knowledge of sewing keder for gel edge graphics
