NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
TERRITORY: SOUTH EAST
Salary Guide up to £50K + Bonus + Company Car
Our client is a well-established packaging solutions company based in the South East. They are currently looking for a New Business Development Manager to focus on 100% new business. You will be supporting the strategic development of the business portfolio sales offer whilst also maintaining and growing sales and profitability of new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to National Sales Manager
- Producing business plans for new customer portfolio in line with the budget
- Provide regular reports as required by the management team
- Work with the Finance function to understand and implement a working cost to serve model by using direct or distributor channels
- Work with a robust new business cost to serve Ongoing competitor analysis
- Giving monthly reports of New Business sales activity and wins
- Comply with annually agreed KPI's and business objectives
- Full responsibility and accountability of the pipeline
- Build relationships at all levels within the target customers
- Secure profitable new business within the companies Target Market sectors
- Support the development of the New Business Sales Strategy
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns aligned to the companies Target Markets and Values
- Have a clear understanding of prospect requirements and how the company can win
- Work with Marketing to develop relevant Target Market campaigns
- Negotiate new long term agreements through the tender process
- Secure profitable new customers focussing on the company's Target Market sectors
- Attend exhibitions, seminars and conferences to understand markets, identify prospects and develop new relationships
- Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal and team job skills keep pace with legislative and business developments
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Discharge duties in a safe manner in accordance with relevant legislation and EHS policies
- Report hazards immediately
- Use all equipment provided in accordance with safe working practices
- Complete all online training assigned to you
- Consider EHS implication of any sales for operational staff
- Maintain any company provided vehicle in a roadworthy condition, ensuring at all times it reflects positively on the company image
- Drive in accordance with the Highway Code at all times
- Follow identified safe working practices
Requirements:
- An understanding of the Packaging Markets within the UK
- A strong approach to New Business
- Ideally previous knowledge of Bespoke and Standard Stock Line
- Promotes company values and supports others in doing the same
- Provides coaching, technical development, and support
- Ensures compliance with Health, Safety & Environment standards
