Our client is specialist luxury packaging company providing a range of customers, including major global brands with luxury gift packaging including Bags, Rigid Boxes, Ribbons, Tissue Papers etc.
They are currently looking for a New Business Development Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for researching and proactively managing new prospect pipelines within the retail and luxury brands market. Securing profitable new customer as outlined by the Business Development Director. This role is 100% New Business Development
Our client is looking for a candidate from a packaging background having worked in or connections in retail and brands. Ideally within the luxury sector however they would also be interested in someone from a POS/Visual Merchandising background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure profitable new customers, targeting luxury and high-end retailers within the Fashion, Cosmetics, Watches and Jewellery markets
- Take ownership of the prospect database and pipeline within Salesforce, ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting on new business activity and performance
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across target accounts, including client entertainment and on-site meetings as needed
- Partner with local and international teams within the company to design and deliver tailored, value-added packaging solutions to clients
- Assist the Business Development Director in negotiating new business opportunities and managing complex enquiries.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of the competitive landscape to inform strategy and identify opportunities for differentiation
- Produce regular reports detailing sales activities, pipeline status, and business results to support performance tracking and decision-making
- Engage in business initiatives and projects as required, contributing to broader company goals
- Participate in relevant training to ensure personal and team capabilities evolve in line with industry standards and business needs
- Lead the handover and integration of newly acquired business into the wider sales team under the guidance of the Sales Director
Requirements:
- Proven track records of generating leads and converting enquiries
- A knowledge and understanding of the UK Retail Marketplace, Packaging Knowledge, Bespoke Product/Print Knowledge
- Far East & Import product knowledge3+ years of people management experience (Preferred)
- Understands and meets customer needs to benefit both customer and business.
