Our client is a well-established Flexible Packaging manufacturer selling into the food, bakery meat & protein industry. The client offers a range of flexible packaging solutions and are looking to recruit a National Account Manager to join their team.

You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of national customer accounts, delivering profitable revenue growth and margin performance. The role is accountable for annual revenue across key accounts, with a defined focus on reactivating dormant customers and converting historic relationships into sustainable commercial growth.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable growth across a portfolio of national accounts through strategic account planning and effective execution.
  • Develop existing customer relationships by identifying and securing cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Re-engage dormant and lapsed accounts through targeted commercial strategies and tailored customer engagement.
  • Transform historic customer relationships into long-term revenue-generating partnerships and repeat business opportunities.
  • Build, manage and progress a robust pipeline of account reactivation opportunities with measurable conversion outcomes.
  • Ensure all commercial activity operates within agreed profitability parameters and commercial guidelines.
  • Identify and develop new product opportunities in partnership with customers and internal teams.
  • Manage the successful progression of projects from concept development and sampling through to full commercial launch.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts and maintain clear pipeline visibility to support S&OP planning processes.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure demand alignment, service excellence, and effective stock management.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for key accounts, building and maintaining strong long-term customer relationships.

Skills / Experience:

  • Proven experience managing national or key accounts within the flexible packaging, food manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering account growth and developing strong customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to manage complex customer requirements while coordinating cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience in forecasting, pipeline management and CRM system utilisation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel regularly.
