Our client is a leading flexible packaging provider of innovative packaging solutions, delivering high-quality products and services to customers across a diverse range of industries. With over three decades of printing expertise the company has grown steadily over the years. With an experienced team of staff skilled in producing high-quality flexographic print, they are a trusted supplier to many leading Blue Chip companies.

They are looking for a Maintenance Engineer who has experience working with Flexible Packaging Machinery the role will be split between Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Safety must always be a prime consideration and you are required to ensure that the safety of people, the environment and that products are never compromised.
• Carrying out any maintenance works as required across the facility both reactive and planned preventative maintenance covering mechanical , electronics and electrical.
• To facilitate the logging of all breakdowns on the appropriate recording system.
• Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly with minimal disruption to production.
• Monitoring of stock and ensuring that parts are readily available as and when required.
• Experience of flexographic printers, Nord Machine, Bimec slitter rewinders, Regenerative thermal oxidizer etc.
• Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
• Ensure that all work is conducted in line with the Company's BRC standards of hygiene and workplace tidiness, aware of 5S standards.
• Advance troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions.
• Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
• Control maintenance of tools and storage of equipment.
• Provide technical support and training on new equipment to Operators.
• Scheduling of preventative maintenance and planned shutdown works.
• Available for out of hours emergencies which may arise or plant breakdowns.
• Monitor and control of maintenance costs and expenditure.

Person Specification:

• Qualification within Engineering.
• Proven work experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a print packaging environment.
• Aware of BRC Code of Practice.
• Able to work on own initiative.
• Good attention to detail and an ability to problem solve and work on own initiative.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement activity.
• Manage and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment whilst still maintaining standards set within the business.
