LARGE FORMAT PRINTER / FINISHER

Our client is a Large Format Digital company based in North West London. They are currently looking for a Large Format Printer/ Finisher to accurately setup and run prints, performing minor repairs and maintenance, loading and unloading paper stock, and ensuring the quality of the finished products. They must have excellent attention to detail and be able to adhere to tight deadlines. They play a vital role in printing, ensuring that all printed products meet the required standards and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge of printing machinery, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the printing process.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate printing and when required finishing machinery.
• Monitor the printing and when required finishing processes to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently, making adjustments as necessary.
• Inspect and examine printed materials for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet the client's specifications and requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on printing and when required finishing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that may occur during the printing process.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure a seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Keep detailed records of print jobs, including quantity produced, materials used, and any issues encountered, for future reference.
• Ensure that necessary supplies are stocked up
• Keep the work environment clean and tidy, return tools, equipment and supplies to their places after use. Make sure bins are not full and walkways are clear.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in printing technology to enhance knowledge and skills in the field.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Printer Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of printing and finishing machinery.
• Ability to interpret and understand printing specifications, job orders, and layout designs.
• Proficiency in performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting common printing equipment issues.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality printed materials with minimal errors.
