We are working with an established retail design and manufacturing business to recruit a Junior CAD Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team delivering innovative retail POS, point-of-purchase displays and visual merchandising solutions for leading brands. Whether you're a recent Graduate looking for your first step into industry or have 1-2 years' relevant experience, this opportunity offers the chance to develop your technical skills, gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to exciting retail projects.

Working alongside an experienced team, you will support the development of CAD designs and technical drawings for bespoke retail POS and display projects. You'll gain exposure to the full process, from initial design and technical development through to prototyping and manufacture, developing your understanding of how creative concepts are transformed into practical, production-ready solutions.

The business has a strong in-house manufacturing capability, with access to equipment including flatbed SwissQ printers, HP Latex printers, cutting tables and laminating machinery.

This is an opportunity to build your knowledge of both CAD design and the manufacturing processes that bring retail displays to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in producing CAD drawings and technical designs for retail POS and display projects.
• Support the development of concepts into practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Work alongside designers, engineers and production teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Assist with design amendments, technical specifications and drawing updates.
• Develop an understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and production capabilities.
• Support prototyping and the transition of designs into manufacture.
• Maintain accurate drawings and documentation throughout the design process.
• Learn and develop your skills across a variety of exciting retail and visual merchandising projects.

About You

• We're keen to hear from enthusiastic and technically minded individuals who are looking to establish or develop their career in CAD engineering, technical design or product development.
• You may be a recent graduate with a relevant design or engineering qualification, or someone with 1-2 years' experience in a CAD-related role.
• You'll ideally bring:
• A relevant qualification or some practical experience in CAD, engineering, product design or technical design.
• An understanding of technical drawings and 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• A willingness to learn, take on new challenges and develop your technical abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• An interest in manufacturing, retail displays, POS or product development.
• Experience with ArtiosCAD would be a distinct advantage, but it is not essential. Candidates with experience using other CAD packages and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
