A leading independent corrugated packaging converter, specialising in high-quality, customised packaging solutions (plain & printed boxes, die cuts, fitments etc) for a diverse range of industries. Commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction has positioned them as a trusted partner in the packaging industry.

They are currently looking to expand market presence in the South East / East Anglia / East Midlands region and are seeking a dynamic and driven Field Salesperson to join their team.

You will be responsible for developing and growing business within the above region. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving sales of corrugated packaging solutions. Working closely with the sales and production teams to ensure that customer requirements are met with the highest level of service and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new customers, focusing on industries that require corrugated packaging solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs within your assigned territory
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the packaging industry, using this information to adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Gain a deep understanding of the product range and be able to present and demonstrate the benefits of packaging solutions to potential and existing customers.
  • Prepare and present accurate quotes, negotiate contracts, and close deals to drive revenue growth
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software
  • Provide regular reports to the Sales Manager on progress against targets
  • Work closely with internal teams, including production, design, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfilment and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the packaging or related industry
  • Strong understanding of corrugated packaging and its applications across industries
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing time effectively, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel within the Midlands and South East region
