INJECTION MOULDING SETTER

Working Hours: 12 hour shifts 4 day week - Days and Nights

Our client is one of the UK's leading Plastic Injection Moulding manufacturers.
Specialising in Plastic Injection Moulding, Design Engineering and Tool Making services, providing both a flexible and rapid solution service to the industry. With a passionate team of highly experienced in house Engineers, Toolmakers and Injection Moulding teams they can transform your initial idea from concept stage, all the way through to a finished and assembled working product, producing many different mouldings for various industries each year.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Injection Moulding Setter. As an Injection Moulding Setter, you will be responsible for installing mould tooling as well as establishing the parameters required to produce a product that meets the necessary quality standards (ISO 9001:2015).

Responsibilities:

  • As an Injection Moulding Setter you will be required to perform mould set ups and changes in an efficient manner according to the production schedule
  • In the role of Injection Moulding Setter, you will perform real time maintenance on all primary tooling, machinery and auxiliary equipment as required
  • Assist the maintenance department within this process on technical issues as they arise
  • Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on equipment to provide timely short term and long-term solutions
  • Support and complete tool trials
  • Support the company with quality objectives related to requirements within ISO9001:2008
  • Perform all duties in a safe, non-hazardous manner in compliance with safety standards

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience within injection moulding manufacturing is ESSENTIAL
  • Experience of process problem solving within an injection moulding environment
  • Industry recognised injection moulding qualification
  • Basic level of Numeracy and Literacy is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive can-do attitude
