Our client is a family-owned integrated Corrugated Packaging Company based in Australia, they are a phenomenal business who have state of the art machinery and are renowned for their impeccable quality and service levels! Our client makes impressive and continual investment into their business and employees as they are now looking to take the next step in their development and expansion plans.

They are currently looking for an experienced Head of Quality who are genuinely interested in relocating to Australia. You will be responsible for leading and develop the company's quality strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving a culture of quality excellence across all sites. This role will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to safeguard product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company-wide Quality Management Strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives
  • Embed quality objectives into site operations, supply chain processes and new product development activities
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure quality remains a core focus across the organisation
  • Oversee and maintain quality systems across all sites, including ISO standards, GMP, HACCP and any other relevant certifications
  • Monitor, analyse and report on key quality performance metrics, including product defect rates, audit outcomes, customer complaints and non-conformance trends
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process capability and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory & customer-specific quality requirements
  • Lead risk assessments, root cause analysis investigations and corrective and preventative actions relating to quality issues
  • Act as the key point of contact for regulatory and certification matters, ensuring the business remains audit-ready at all times
  • Lead, manage and mentor the Quality team across multiple sites, building capability and consistency within the function
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and quality awareness throughout the organisation
  • Support the professional development of team members and encourage high performance
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Production teams to ensure quality standards are embedded into products and processes
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring effective follow-up and close-out of findings
  • Oversee supplier quality management initiatives to ensure materials and services meet required standards

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience within a multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Maintain and apply strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP and other relevant quality standards across the business
  • Demonstrated experience of implementing quality improvement programmes and managing regulatory compliance
  • Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to develop, motivate and inspire high-performing teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in Quality Management, such as CQE or Six Sigma Black Belt, are highly desirable
  • Drive a proactive approach to reducing product defects, customer complaints and non-conformance events
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing quality team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve overall quality performance.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders including the CSX Director, GM Manufacturing, Operations Managers, Site Managers, Supply Chain and Production teams to align quality priorities with business objectives
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including regulatory authorities, certification bodies, key customers, and suppliers.
