SHIFT PATTERN MONDAY TO FRIDAY (30 MINS PAID LUNCH BREAK)
- EARLIES: 6:00AM - 1:30PM
- LATES: 1:30PM - 9:00PM
Our client is a well invested independent print & folding carton manufacturer. In-house they have state-of-the-art printing presses, the latest folding technology and a range of finishing equipment. Supplying clients in the confectionary, food, cosmetics, healthcare & pharma to pet care markets.
They are currently looking to recruit a Gluing Operator to join their production team. You will be operating and maintain gluing machinery to produce high-quality folded cartons in line with customer specifications, production schedules, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and run gluing/folding carton machines in line with production orders
- Read and interpret job specifications to ensure cartons are glued, folded and finished to the correct standard
- Carry out machine adjustments to achieve optimum quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment to minimise downtime
- Conduct regular quality checks against approved samples/specifications, including glue application, registration and finishing
- Complete production records, ensuring accurate reporting of output, downtime, and waste
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve customer requirements
- Comply with company Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and hygiene standards
- Train, guide or support assistants and other colleagues as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and waste reduction
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating carton gluing/folder-gluer machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret job dockets, technical drawings, and quality standards
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Flexibility to work shifts/overtime when required
