We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fulfilment Manager to join an established and growing production and fulfilment operation in North Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in fulfilment, warehousing, distribution or logistics who is looking to take ownership of a busy operation and play a key role in improving efficiency, accuracy and service levels. The business is open to candidates from a general warehouse or distribution background, provided you have the leadership, organisational and operational skills required to manage a fast-moving fulfilment function.

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end fulfilment process, from receiving and processing orders through to picking, packing, inventory control and shipping preparation. You will lead a team of 4 Fulfilment Assistants, ensuring the department operates efficiently, safely and accurately while meeting customer expectations and agreed SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day fulfilment operation, including order processing, picking, packing and shipping preparation.
• Lead, manage and motivate a team of Fulfilment Assistants.
• Manage workload and resources effectively to ensure deadlines and service levels are achieved.
• Take responsibility for inventory control, stock accuracy and order tracking.
• Use the company's MIS and warehouse systems to monitor and improve operational performance.
• Develop and maintain effective processes and standard operating procedures across the fulfilment operation.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy and SLAs, providing clear and actionable updates to senior management.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to workflow and efficiency.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, suppliers, manufacturers and carriers to ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Ensure high standards of quality are maintained throughout the fulfilment process.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure relevant procedures are followed.
• Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental standards.
• Train, develop and support team members to maximise performance and accuracy.
• Deal with day-to-day employee issues and escalate HR matters where appropriate.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and the implementation of new systems, processes and digital tools.
• Identify opportunities for automation and improved ways of working.
• Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to wider operational improvement projects
