FLEXO PRINTER - PERMANENT NIGHT SHIFT

HOURS: 10pm - 6am Sunday to Thursday
Location: East Midlands
Salary: Dependent on Experience + Company Pension + Overtime + Death in Service Benefit

Our client is a market leader with an international customer base, serving a broad range of sectors. Their product portfolio includes flexo and digital printed self-adhesive and in-mould labels, sleeves, packaging, cartons, premium decoration, creative design and branding. We are seeking an experienced Flexo Printer to join the team on a permanent night shift, working within a modern, high-specification production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Produce printed work to the required quality standards, ensuring consistency throughout each production run.
• Operate flexographic printing presses efficiently, meeting production speed and make-ready targets wherever possible.
• Monitor machine performance and record and report any production variances.
• Identify opportunities to improve production methods, minimise downtime and reduce waste and quality issues.
• Maximise machine efficiency and ensure customer delivery deadlines are achieved without compromising quality.
• Prepare, manage and maintain inks and solvents in accordance with job specifications and health and safety requirements.
• Follow all Quality Control and Quality Assurance procedures, ensuring production records are completed accurately.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and promote safe working practices throughout the department.
• Take ownership of production responsibilities throughout the permanent night shift, helping to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency and output.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience operating flexographic printing presses.
• Ability to operate flexographic printing equipment confidently, with an understanding of press settings, print quality and production requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Well organised, with the ability to work efficiently and independently during a permanent night shift.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, minimising downtime and maintaining production efficiency.
• Good customer service awareness and an understanding of the importance of meeting customer requirements.
