Our client is a leading successful packaging manufacturer with various locations across the world. Being known for its innovative solutions, they specialise in packaging for the food service and FMCG markets. They have a high level operation to ensure exceptional levels of customer service are given at all times.

They are currently looking to recruit an Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising production machinery within the print area. Ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This includes daily interventions, preventative maintenance, and fault diagnosis across both electrical and mechanical systems. The role demands a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring production targets are met while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing production and day by day intervention on machine in the most efficient manner possible whilst ensuring the output according with the target
  • Co-ordinate the 24 hours shift including holiday and absence cover
  • Manage and maintain die-cutting equipment
  • Control and manage spare parts inventory
  • Liaise with external suppliers for maintenance and repairs
  • Actively participate in the company's TPM (Continuous Improvement) programme
  • Compile and deliver weekly management and ad-hoc reports, including: OEE, Downtime Analysis, Loss Tree Reports, Action Plans and Quality Complaint Investigations
  • Provide support to other members of the Maintenance Department
  • Utilise the SAP system (to go live April 2026) for maintenance and reporting

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in Mechanical and Electrical engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Technician in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong skills in report generation (Access/Excel)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, with a track record of implementing effective, long-term solutions
  • Experience in process improvement to prevent recurring issues
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and organised
  • Collaborative team player
  • Self-motivated with ambition to progress beyond the role
