CUSTOMER SERVICE / COMMERCIAL CO-ORDINATOR
LOCATION: COMMUTABLE FROM SOUTH YORKSHIRE / NORTH DERBYSHIRE
SALARY GUIDE: £30K
OFFICE BASED - Monday to Friday 8.30am till 4.30pm & Friday 8.30am till 3.30pm
Our client is a UK packaging manufacturer and supplier, specialising in bespoke and standard corrugated and composite packaging solutions. Operating from design and production facilities in the UK, the company delivers innovative, sustainable packaging that enhances protection, reduces waste, and improves logistics efficiency.
They are currently looking for a Commercial Co-Ordinator to join their team. You will be a key link between customers, suppliers and internal teams. You will be responsible for processing sales and purchase orders, supporting commercial and customer service operators and ensuring smooth communication and administration across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage purchase orders, including acknowledgements, progression, and system updates
- Generate works orders, picking lists, and delivery notes
- Produce quotations for customers and sales representatives
- Check and prepare carrier paperwork and invoices
- Provide administrative support across the commercial and customer service teams
- Answer calls and respond to customer and supplier queries promptly and professionally
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
- Undertake additional duties as required to support business operations
Requirements:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in sales or purchase order processing (preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proactive and dependable with a strong sense of ownership
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Customer-focused with a professional approach
