HOME BASED / FIELD BASED - ANY ENGLAND OR WALES LOCATION

£50-60K Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission + Company Car/Allowance + Pension + Life Insurance + 34 Days Holiday

Our client is a leading provider of labelling, barcode, RFID and traceability solutions, supplying hardware, software and consumables to customers across Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical and Industrial sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition whilst developing existing accounts across the UK.

The successful candidate will promote the company's complete portfolio of labelling solutions, including printed and plain labels, consumables, barcode and RFID technology, printers, software and managed services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a proactive sales strategy to achieve new business and revenue targets.
  • Identify, win and develop new customers across Retail, Manufacturing and Industrial markets.
  • Manage and grow existing strategic accounts through effective account planning.
  • Promote the company's full range of labelling solutions, including printed labels, consumables, barcode, RFID, printers, software and service solutions.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, forecasts and account plans using Salesforce CRM.
  • Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders in line with company standards.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Technical and Customer Service teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Develop relationships with business partners and identify new channel opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Manage customer enquiries, orders and commercial issues to ensure excellent customer service.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Proven Business Development and Account Management experience within the labelling, barcode, RFID or AIDC sector.
  • Knowledge of printed labels, label consumables, thermal transfer ribbons, barcode printers, RFID and labelling software.
  • Experience selling into Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics or Industrial markets would be advantageous.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused with a consultative, solution-selling approach.
  • Good project management, forecasting and CRM (Salesforce) experience.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and driven to exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
