Our client is a well-established and highly respected UK label manufacturer with the backing of a large International Packaging Group, specialising in the production of premium flexographic and digitally printed self-adhesive labels, complemented by an extensive range of decorative embellishments and value-added finishing techniques. Offering a true end-to-end service, from concept and artwork through to print and final production, they supply innovative label solutions to many of the UK's leading brands across the food, beverage, health & wellness, sports nutrition, personal care, household and industrial sectors.
Due to continued investment and sustained growth, they are seeking an experienced, commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive new business across the South of England and the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in labels, packaging or printed products who is looking to represent a premium manufacturer with an impressive product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
⭐ Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across sectors including sports nutrition, vitamins & supplements, beauty, cosmetics, personal care, health & wellness, food, beverage, household and industrial products.
⭐ Sell a broad portfolio of premium label solutions, including flexographically and digitally printed self-adhesive labels, supported by a wide range of embellishments such as foiling, embossing, tactile varnishes, screen printing, laminates, specialty materials and sustainable substrates.
⭐ Develop a thorough understanding of customers' branding, packaging and technical requirements, recommending tailored label solutions that enhance shelf appeal, functionality and commercial performance.
⭐ Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities by proactively engaging with brand owners, contract packers and manufacturers, establishing long-term relationships with both emerging and established businesses.
⭐ Work closely with internal customer service, estimating, artwork, pre-press and production teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently from initial enquiry through to final production.
⭐ Identify opportunities to introduce premium finishing techniques, sustainable materials, multi-layer constructions, security features and other innovative label solutions that add value for customers.
⭐ Effectively manage your sales territory, customer visits, CRM activity and sales pipeline to achieve agreed growth targets and maximise new business conversion.
Ideal Background:
- Proven success in a Business Development or Sales role within the labels, packaging, print or closely related industry.
- Experience selling flexographic and/or digitally printed labels would be highly advantageous.
- Strong track record of winning new business and developing profitable customer relationships.
- Experience supplying customers within markets such as sports nutrition, supplements, food & beverage, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, chemicals or household products.
- Commercially astute with a consultative approach to solution selling.
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable managing a home-based, field sales territory.
