BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - FLEXIBLE PACKAGING

ANY UK LOCATION

£70K + Bonus + Fully Expensed Company Car + Pension 5.5% + Healthcare + Death in Service x3

My client is a well-established name in the flexible packaging market specialising in innovative and sustainable packaging solutions. Operating from a state-of-the-art UK facility the business delivers high-performance flexible packaging solutions to some of the world's leading brands.

With continued investment in technology, R&D and sustainability, the company is recognised for its quality, reliability and customer-focused approach. They are currently looking to recruit Business Development Manager, the role will be a mix of developing existing accounts and finding new business with companies primarily in the food industry (fresh meat, fish, poultry, dairy and ready meals).

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and developing existing customers
• New business development
• Identifying and mapping customers' flexible packaging needs
• Maintaining and developing sales pipeline
• Preparing and negotiating offers and contracts, and managing sales price adjustments
• Increasing market awareness of the group's total product portfolio
• Planning budgets, sales volume, values, product mix and time scales
• Engaging with clients to understand their needs and providing tailored solutions that exceed expectations

Requirements:

• Proven track record in the flexible packaging industry
• Proven results in business development and managing accounts
• Excellent project management skills
• Technical background, combined with commercial mindset
• Solid written and oral communication skills (delivering presentations, public speaking, one-to-one negotiations, telephone communications, etc.)
• Self-driven, enthusiastic and result-oriented, with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Shows initiative and demonstrates dynamic thinking
• A flexible and empathic attitude
