Our client is a leading flexible packaging company supplying woven polypropylene sacks, bulk bags and FIBC's to a range of market sectors including building, engineering, food and chemical markets.
PRODUCT RANGE: WOVEN POLYPROPYLENE SACKS, BULK BAGS AND FIBC'S
They are currently looking for a highly motivated and results oriented Business Development Manager to join their company. The successful candidate will be selling industrial packaging such as FIBCs, Polypropylene/Paper & Polythene sacks into a wide range of industries including recycling, industrial, building, agricultural and chemical.
You will play a critical role in driving sales growth, acquiring new customers and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, exceptional communication and negotiation skills and a good understanding of the packaging industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to expand market share
- Build a robust pipeline of prospective customers through lead generation activities, including cold calling, networking and attending industry events
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring optimal pricing and contract terms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction and retention
- Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide solutions that align with their objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and warehouse, to ensure seamless order fulfilment and exceptional customer service
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to clients, serving as their main point of contact for all enquiries and requests
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and presentations for management
- Track sales performance against budgeted targets
Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the packaging industry
- Experience in selling packaging solutions or related products to diverse industries
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong customer relationship management skills, with a focus on building trust and delivering exceptional service
- Ability to understand customer needs & align them with appropriate packaging solutions
- Results-oriented mindset, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events
